Just out of interest I reran the calculations for the best 9 holes for each of next 3 highest scores - 18, 17, 16 - The Whit - Hot Rod - VP Porker - The Baron respectively.

In the instances of The Whit - VP Porker - The Baron they would have pipped Raggsy at the post - except for Hot Rod who fell short ....?
